Robert Jones is Senior Executive, Human Resources for GE Aviation’s Global Engineering organization. He serves as the HR Strategist for 10,000 Global Engineers with focus on strategic workforce planning, talent/leadership development, compensation, employee engagement initiatives, executive coaching, talent recruitment, succession planning and organization development.

He joined GE in 1990 as an HR Representative in GE Plastics and was promoted to Manager Human Resources for Manufacturing and Engineering for the Industrial Diamonds business three years later. After spending seven years at GE Plastics, he moved to GE Capital‘s Consumer Financial Services business in Cincinnati, Ohio, leading Organization & Talent Development and providing HR leadership for the Marketing, Business Development and Risk Management functions.

In 1999, he was promoted to lead HR for the Sales Finance P&L in GE Capital’s Retail Finance business. In this role Robert partnered with the leadership team to build a major growth business and employee engagement focused culture, which included HR due diligence and integration leadership for four business acquisitions. The business was recognized with four GE Chairman Awards for outstanding growth and performance from 2006-2010. He was recipient of three Pinnacle Recognition Awards for his Leadership and performance impact.

Robert served on the GE Corporate Diversity Council and as Global Operating Leader for the African American Forum from 2009-2011. He has been recognized for his community leadership by the National Dental Association, Wesley Center, Young Scholars Program and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is an Executive Co-Leader for the City of Cincinnati Diverse by Design Initiative. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Fairmont State University and a Masters from West Virginia University. Robert is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
