Clarence Pauley has served in the role of Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer since January 2014. He has a long and distinguished history guiding the human resources efforts of large healthcare institutions. He has also served as Vice President of Human Resources for UC Medical Center for seven years and Director of Human Resources for a former affiliate hospital for eight years.

In addition to his work in healthcare, Mr. Pauley has proudly served with the United States military with service both in the Army and the Air Force Reserves. He was deployed overseas to combat several times over a military career that spanned 30 years.

Earlier in his career, he worked for Children’s Protective Services of Hamilton County Ohio. Mr. Pauley co-authored an article that appeared in the Journal of Health & Life Sciences Law entitled “Improving Evaluations in the Healthcare Workplace: A Case Study”. Awards he received are: the Who’s Who in Black Cincinnati Award, the Merlin G. Pope Jr. Diversity Through Leadership Award, and the Black Achievers Award. He was also recognized by the Cincinnati Business Courier as a finalist for the Health Care Heroes Award.
