Karen Heffernan is a Business Systems Analyst at Westfield Insurance and serves as the Chair of the Out and About Programming and Events Committee.
Karen considers herself lucky to have developed diverse friendships in her personal life that have challenged her, made her laugh and forced her to think about the world in different and wonderful ways. These relationships have broadened her perspective and made her a better person. Some of these relationships have been with individuals in the LGBT community and her closeness to them has made her a passionate advocate for their rights. Karen is proud to be part of Out and About at Westfield which is promoting those same ideals and relationships in the workplace.
