Mary McFarland is the vice president and inclusion and diversity manager at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio. In her role, Mary drives inclusion and diversity strategies for the bank. This includes leading initiatives on multicultural development, inclusive leadership, the virtual African American and LGBT enterprise business resource groups, inclusive art & images, and inclusion interventions to foster an inclusive environment.

Mary has more than 20 years experience in Human Resources with a focus on managing inclusion, engagement and culture at Fortune 500 companies including Procter & Gamble, Yum! Brands, Inc. (KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell) and Fifth Third Bank. Her roles include organizational effectiveness leader, regional education manager, global talent management leader, and learning technologies manager.

Mary partners with the community to establish relationships and assist Fifth Third make strategic investments in organizations that build inclusion and equality. She is is member of The Winters Group Advisory Board, the Human Rights Campaign Gala Committee, the Diverse by Design Steering Committee, and the Cincinnati Region’s CONNECT ERG Leaders Council.
