Key Beck (they, them, their) wears many hats in their personal and professional life, but primarily, they serve as a Prevention Educator for WoMen Helping WoMen and community trainer and advocate for Safe and Supported and the Homeless Coalition of Cincinnati. Key has worked throughout Cincinnati in various capacities including leadership and partnership positions with Oyler School, the Urban Appalachian Council, Cincinnati Human Relations Commission, AmeriCorps, the University of Cincinnati, and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. Much of Key’s work focuses on healthy relationships, interpersonal communication, community activism and social media storytelling. Key holds a B.A. degree in French Language and Literature, with a specialization in French business and psychology and an M.A. degree in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati. Key’s academic and professional research explores issues of race, gender, identity and culture in contemporary urban environments.
