Karen Morgan graduated from Duke University in 1984 with a degree in mechanical engineering and joined the Edison Engineering Development program at GE Aviation in Cincinnati. She completed a masters’ degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Karen held several engineering roles, followed by customer facing roles, before taking her current position as a Senior Operations Manager, working with engineering and digital teams to develop short and long-term plans to make engine configuration data available and accessible to our technical and analytics teams.

Karen joined the GLBTA Alliance at GE Aviation as it was forming in 2005. She co-led the Aviation Alliance from 2005-2009. She then co-led the overall GE GLBTA Alliance from 2010-2012. She is currently on the cross-business leadership team, focused on external partnerships. She has been a member of the Cincinnati Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Steering Committee since 2010 and is currently on HRC’s National Board of Governors. At GE, she was part of the team to develop GLBT 101, Transgender 101 and Ally workshop content and has been leading education sessions at GE and other companies for 10 years. She and her wife, Kim, enjoy gardening, spending time with friends and keeping up with their six adult children.
