Leon McDougle, M.D., M.P.H., Associate Professor of Family Medicine with tenure, is the 1st Chief Diversity Office for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. A graduate of the University of Toledo and OSU College of Medicine, he completed the family medicine residency at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California, and earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Department of Health Management and Policy. Dr. McDougle recently completed a two term as Chair of the Association of American Medical Colleges Group on Diversity and Inclusion. Dr. McDougle was also invited to participate in The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) STEM Diversity Forum June 21-22, 2015. In addition, he directs several workforce diversity programs including the MEDPATH Postbaccalaureate Program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. McDougle is a member of the Rhema Christian Center. He is a member of the National Medical Association and Association of Military Surgeons of the United States. A native of Sandusky, Ohio, Leon and his wife, Natasha J. Jones-McDougle, M.Ed. are the proud parents of two daughters.
