Tyran “Ty” Boyd, joined Lathrop in 2009 as a field engineer. His strong focus and commitment to client satisfaction was quickly noticed by his peers and management and he was promoted to Business Development Engineer in 2015. Ty is greatly involved an engrained in a multitude of diverse organizations who focus on strengthening individuals and/within communities. Involvements range from being a founding member and Chair of the Turner Construction Ohio Diversity and Retention Committee; a founding member and inagrual Chair of the United Way of Greater Toledo Emerging Leaders; YMCA; WGTE; Toledo Lucas County Public Library Literati; BGSU; UT, TPS and church. Because his involvements within the community, he is a 2015 recipient of a 20 Under 40 Award. Ty is a First Lieutenant in the Ohio Air National Guard, 180th Fighter Wing where he has received a multiple of Top Honors. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Technology with a focus in Construction Management; husband to LaTonya; father to four (4) children and believes diversity is multi-dimensional and should be respected and celebrated. Diversity is not merely a race or gender differential, it’s more complex and interesting because everyone has a voice and an importance to life.
