Alberta Lee begins her fifth season, as the Vice President of Human Resources for the Cavaliers. Previously Alberta served as the Assistant to the President for Human Resources and Organizational Development for Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. Alberta’s tenure as a chief leader in higher education exceeds twenty years.
As an accomplished professional, she leads all functions of Human Resources while serving as a strategic partner to senior leadership. Over the years Alberta has been recognized for her ability to be collaborative, creative and compassionate when dealing with people and organizational matters.
A Michigan native, Alberta graduated from Saginaw Valley State University, receiving her bachelors in business administration and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. She holds a national senior human resources professional certification.
Alberta is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She credits her parents Napoleon and Nelia Lewis for instilling in her a love for God, family, community and education. Alberta has served on several community boards and is looking forward to continuing her community service here in Cleveland.
She is married to Cecil B. Lee and has two sons C.J. Lee (married to Dr. Jocelyn Smith Lee) and Cameron D. Lee.
