Jigish Trivedi

Mr. Jigish Trivedi is the Senior Vice President of Technology at First Solar, Inc. In this leadership role within the company’s research and development (R&D) group, he is responsible for driving innovation and core process & product developments in Thin Film photovoltaic (PV) technology.

Jigish joined First Solar in 2009 to develop a series of key efficiency improvement projects in R&D and was promoted to role of Vice President in to 2012. He has been in his current role as senior vice president since May of 2016. Under Mr. Trivedi’s leadership and technological expertise, First Solar has been able to demonstrate steep increases in module efficiency program implementation from the R&D labs to the manufacturing process. Mr. Trivedi also serves on First Solar’s intellectual property committee and manages key intellectual property aspects of the company’s highly differentiated thin film PV technology portfolio. In addition Mr. Jigish Trivedi supports corporate functions such as Strategic sourcing, Business Development, Technical Due Diligence and M&A consulting.

Mr. Trivedi brings to First Solar over 20 years of experience in high-value product development environments, including the field of semiconductors where he specialized in areas of CMOS logic and memory technologies. Prior to First Solar Jigish was at Micron Technology. Over span of his career, Mr. Trivedi has been awarded more than 120+ U.S. and international patents in areas of renewable energy, semiconductor physics, material science and process technology.

Mr. Trivedi holds Master of Engineering degree from University of Utah and Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University and LEAD certification from Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
