Mr. Miguel Maldonado is the Chief of the Fuels and Energy Branch, Air Force Research Laboratories, Aerospace Systems Directorate, Turbine Engine Division. He received his B.S.E.E. from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez in 1987 and his M.S.E.E. from the University of Dayton in 1993. Mr. Maldonado worked in the Energy/Power/Thermal Division for 23 years, where he was responsible for the development and demonstration of currently used air vehicles electrical power systems. Mr. Maldonado also served as the Integrated Vehicle Energy Technology (INVENT) program Chief Engineer. As Chief Engineer he guided the technical direction of and assessed progress made by the INVENT Industry Team. He currently leads the Fuels and Energy Branch which consists of 15 Government and ~40 Contractors focusing on Composition to Performance of all Battlespace Fuels. In addition Mr. Maldonado contributes directly to the Directorate, AFRL, and local community by expending significant effort in the area of workforce development and diversity.
