Prior to joining Owens Corning, Ava served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Taleris, which was a multinational joint venture between GE Aviation and Accenture. Ava also served as the General Counsel of GE Aviation’s Avionics business. Ava has significant expertise in a whole array of legal disciplines, including ethics and compliance, large acquisitions, significant commercial deals and product liability. Ava’s earlier career assignments have included senior leadership and legal positions at GE Aviation, The Dow Chemical Company, Jones Day, and Thompson Hine LLP. In her career, Ava has had significant responsibilities leading her prior company’s practices for commercial deals, corporate development, governance, ethics and compliance, government contracts, risk management, sustainability and regulatory law.

Ava has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Northwestern University, a Master’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Nebraska, and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. Ava also served as an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law and has written and lectured extensively on legal business issues, security, regulatory compliance and risk management and has published several law review articles.

In her free time, Ava enjoys traveling globally with her husband and teenage children, practicing yoga and reading.
