Eugenio Mollo, Jr. is the Managing Attorney of the Agricultural Worker and Immigrant Rights Practice Group at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) in Toledo. ABLE is a nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance to help low-income individuals achieve self reliance, and equal justice and economic opportunity. As part of his immigration law practice, Eugenio has represented LGBTQ clients and clients living with HIV seeking family unity and humanitarian immigration relief. Eugenio serves on the internal Diversity Committee at ABLE, which strives to create an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and equitable for staff, clients, and communities served by ABLE.

Active in the community, Eugenio is a board member of EqualityToledo, which works to eliminate discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression through education, activism, and other anti-defamation efforts. He has served as previous Board Chair and Director of the Equality @ Work Project. Eugenio currently co-chairs the steering committee of Welcome Toledo-Lucas County (Welcome TLC), whose mission is to build a more welcoming and inclusive community for immigrants and people of diverse cultures. Eugenio also serves as a trustee for the ProMedica Toledo Children’s Hospital Foundation Board.

Eugenio is a recipient of Toledo’s 20 Under 40 Leadership Recognition Award and a graduate of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy. He earned his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was Editor in Chief of The Journal of Gender, Race & Justice. Eugenio is happily living in Toledo with his partner of 10 years, David Mann, and they’re looking forward to celebrating their relationship through marriage in October 2016.
