Jade Davis is Vice President of External Affairs at the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority (Port of Cleveland). In his current role, Jade manages the Port’s government affairs and communications programing. Additionally, some key components of his duties at the Port include the engagement of community stakeholders, legislative and regulatory affairs, and the development of strategic communications initiatives.

Prior to his role at the Port, he served as the Senior Director of State Affairs and Outreach at the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity (ACCCE) in Washington DC. During his tenure at ACCCE, Jade lead the development of the organization’s strategic community outreach program and was responsible for coordinating legislative and regulatory actions across 35 states.

Jade has also served as the Legislative Liaison to the Ohio General Assembly and the congressional delegation for the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio; where he led various economic development and legislative advocacy efforts.

Early in his career, Jade served as a Policy Analyst for the Ohio Senate with a focus on statewide cable/broadband deployment, electric regulatory reform, economic development and urban affairs issues.

Jade received a B.A. from The College of Wooster and an M.P.A. in Economic Development and Policy from Eastern Michigan University. He also serves on the Policy Committee for the American Association of Blacks in Energy, Karamu House Board of Directors, Ohio City Incorporated Board of Trustees, After School All-Stars Cleveland Advisory Board and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Jade and his wife Crystal have a toddler daughter, and reside in Northeast Ohio.
