Lauren Greenspan is the Co-Founder and Director of Youth Yoga Project (YYP), a Columbus-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to providing access to yoga and wellness programming for young people to improve their physical, social, and emotional well-being and increase their academic success. YYP has a particular mission to serve students in under-resourced communities that wouldn’t normally have access to yoga programming. In order to have the greatest impact on the most students, Lauren teaches yoga programs that are integrated into the regular schedule of students providing yoga programming in schools, after-school programs and community settings.

Lauren is a certified yoga instructor and licensed school counselor with professional experience working with children in elementary, middle and high school settings. She received a Masters of Arts in School Counseling from The Ohio State University and a B.A. from Wright State University. She specializes in yoga for children, teens, families, and educators and incorporating yoga into academic and community settings. Combining her experience as a yoga instructor and educator, Lauren teaches evidence-based yoga practices that are grounded in brain-based learning and child development theories. Lauren has presented locally and nationally on the topics of yoga and mindfulness in schools as well as trauma-informed school practices.
