Karen A. Reed is the Vice President for Academic & Student Services at North Central State College where she provides oversight of academic affairs, student affairs, student support and enrollment management. North Central State College is an Achieving the Dream National Leader College, Developmental Education Initiative (DEI), Guided Pathways to Success – Complete College America, and AQIP Pathway community college.

Karen is responsible for providing leadership and support for faculty and administrators in the development and implementation of instructional curriculum/programs and innovative approaches to successful student learning. She oversees the planning process to attract, recruit, enroll and retain students with the goal to increase overall student engagement, persistence, and graduation rates.

Karen monitors compliance of core learning objectives and program viability, and interprets laws, rules and regulations related to institutional accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Previously, Karen served in numerous administrative roles at both Owens Community College and Cuyahoga Community College. Karen has a BS from the University of Mount Union, a MBA from Lake Erie College and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Akron.
