Dr. Belinda Miles currently serves as Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C©). In this role, she has oversight of the Student Success and Completion work at the College’s four campuses in Cleveland, Parma, Westlake, and Highland Hills serving nearly 60,000 students in career and transfer programs that lead to the associate degree and non-credit workforce training programs… She previously served Tri-C as Eastern Campus President, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Assistant Dean of Liberal Arts. Other prior positions include faculty and administrative posts at LaGuardia Community College, Nassau Community College, Columbia University, and the University of Akron.

Dr. Miles engages with the community as a volunteer with organizations that promote leadership and empowerment including the YWCA of Greater Cleveland, the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, the St. Joseph’s Academy for girls where she serves as a board member. An entrepreneurial leader with expertise in Strategic Planning and Leadership Development and a graduate of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2010, Dr. Miles is the recipient of numerous awards including the Education Award from the Ohio Coalition of National Council of Negro Women and recognition as a YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence. Dr. Miles is a member of the American Association of Community College’s Commission on Workforce Development and serves on their Licensure Committee for the allied health professions. She also shares leadership tactics and insights as a career mentor at the prestigious Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) Summer Institute for Women at Bryn Mawr College and the University of Denver.

Originally from Queens, New York, Dr. Miles attended public schools including the City University of New York earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. She attained a Master of Arts degree in Educational Psychology and a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Organization and Leadership Development from Columbia University. Dr. Miles lives in the City of Cleveland with her husband, Keith where they enjoy the region’s many distinctive assets including the parks, theaters, and museums.
