Dr. Ravi Krovi is Dean of The University of Akron College of Business Administration, where he provides strategic leadership and direction to the College’s departments, centers, institutes, and other units. During this time, the college received several accolades including reaffirmation of global accreditation in Business and Accounting by AACSB International and national ranking for its programs in Bloomberg Businessweek, U.S. News and World Report, The Princeton Review, and CEO Magazine. Most recently, the College of Business Administration successfully completed a $5.2 million building campaign to build a new 15,000‐square‐foot Professional Development Center. It is anticipated that the new building, which will be home for the college’s professional development and experiential learning programs, will be operational for the fall 2019 semester.

Dr. Krovi has more than twenty‐five years of experience including the last fifteen in academic leadership positions. His has consulted and conducted executive education workshops with various organizations including Fortune 500 companies and government agencies in business analytics, strategic planning, leadership, and technology. He has published extensively and been invited as a guest speaker on these and other topics in national and international conferences.

Dr. Krovi serves as the Chair of the Metropolitan Business Schools group and is a business accreditation reviewer for AACSB, the premier international accreditation body for all business schools. He serves in the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors and is a member of the Akron Rotary. In 2016, he served as a member of the City of Akron Blue Ribbon Task Force where he focused on developing recommendations to improve the city’s financial condition.

Dean Krovi earned a doctorate in Management Information Systems and Decision Sciences from the University of Memphis. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Statistics and an undergraduate degree in Engineering.

He lives in Copley, Ohio with his wife and two children.
