Michael P. Marsh is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and civil rights champion who has been with the Toledo Fair Housing Center since 1997. As the President & CEO, he is accountable for the strategic vision and successful operation of the agency and ensuring that the agency remains mission driven, while overseeing an annual operating budget in excess of $1 million and a staff of 10 persons.

Mr. Marsh serves on the National Enforcement Advisory Committee of the National Fair Housing Alliance and has supervised multiple Fair Housing Initiatives Programs funded by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

An alumnus of Bowling Green State University, Mr. Marsh earned a Master of Arts degree in American Culture Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism (cum laude). He taught for five years in Bowling Green State University’s Ethnic Studies Department, and he developed a cultural diversity training seminar for real estate professionals certified by the Ohio Division of Real Estate.

Active in the community, Mr. Marsh is a graduate of Community Leadership Toledo and a Past President of the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. A Rotarian, he also serves on the State of the State Conference on Equity, Diversity, and Opportunity Planning Committee and the University of Toledo Urban Affairs Center Advisory Committee. He is Chair of the Board of Directors for the Ability Center of Greater Toledo and an Auxiliary Board member for the Beach House Family Shelter.

Mr. Marsh received the 20 Under 40 Leadership Award in 2005 and has completed leadership workshops at Harvard and Stanford Universities. He recently earned the Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from Indiana University. Finally, he has attended and presented at numerous conferences at the local, state and national levels.
