Laurence (Larry) A. Sivic serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at NASA’s John H. Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Sivic reports directly to the NASA CFO at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.. He is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation, and administration of the entire Center’s budgeting ($700M budget), accounting, business systems, financial audits/internal controls, and cost-estimating activities. The Office of the CFO strives to help the Center achieve the following five strategic goals:

  • Provide world-class research and technology, revolutionize aeronautics and space exploration.
  • Advance space missions and aeronautics by leveraging core competencies to deliver concept-through-flight systems.
  • Deliver program and project management excellence that results in successful missions for our customers and challenging, long-term assignments for continued achievements.
  • Provide excellent institutional capability to enable NASA mission success.
  • Be an integral part of the Ohio community and the Nation.

Mr. Sivic joined NASA in 2004 after an extensive career with Accenture Implementing Enterprise Resource Planning which included Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP). He served as Glenn’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer starting in 2006 and was selected as the Chief Financial Officer in August 2011.

Mr. Sivic has received two prestigious Outstanding Leadership Medals. The first in 2009 for his leadership in system designing, managing, implementing financial policies, and reengineered processes. The second in 2014 for outstanding leadership in achieving results, serving as a role model, leading people and influencing change.
