The Cleveland Clinic

Diana is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Cleveland Clinic Health System, where she is responsible for partnering with leaders and caregivers throughout the enterprise to provide strategic direction to key enterprise diversity initiatives. In addition, Diana collaborates with professional organizations and community stakeholders to advance Cleveland Clinic’s outreach to the Hispanic community.

She has been prominent in advancing Cleveland Clinic’s ranking as one of the top Healthcare systems in the country for Diversity and Inclusion by DiversityInc., the American Hospital Association Equity of Care award, and the placement of their Employee Resource Groups as some of the top 25 ERG’s and Councils in the country as
awarded by the Association of ERG’s and Councils.

She was instrumental in the development and execution of ACTiVHOS the first fully bilingual youth directed health and wellness program in Northeast Ohio as an effort to combat obesity and asthma disparities in Latino children.

She is one of the two founding members of the Northeast Ohio National Hispanic Nurses Association which has recently garnered the opportunity to host the National Hispanic Nurses Conference here in Cleveland in 2018

Her wealth of experience includes policy research and development, public health, diversity programming, public relations, gap analysis and strategic development, organizational development, brand marketing, and revenue cycle management.

Previously, she worked for The MetroHealth System as Manager, Diversity and Inclusion. In this role, she successfully advanced diversity efforts related to education, employee development and patient care across that organization. Additionally, she has established metrics for enhancement of service lines that cater to the limited English speaking population to improve patient access and increase patient volume. Diana excelled at the task of executive recruitment, talent development, career coaching and consultation and finds great joy in helping individuals and organizations reach their potential.

Diana holds a BA in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University and her MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. She is currently Board President of The Hispanic Alliance. She sits on the executive committee of Latina Inc. and the Hispanic Roundtable. She is a member of the Northeast Ohio Association for Hispanic Health, as well as a community advisor to the American Heart Association, Cuyahoga Community College’s ABLE program. City of Cleveland Office of Minority Health, and Ideastream.

She is steadfast advocate for health equity programming and strategic population health initiatives that address community needs in context, culture, and language.
