Angela Montville is the Sr. Business Partner, Inclusion & Diversity for NiSource, Inc., headquartered out of Merrillville, IN serving nearly 4 million gas and electric customers. She reports to the NiSource corporate office located in Columbus, OH.
Angela’s Inclusion & Diversity role allows her to partner with NiSource leaders in order to set and implement the NiSource Inclusion & Diversity strategy which coaches leaders in becoming more inclusive. Not only does the NiSource Inclusion & Diversity strategy coach leaders on becoming more inclusive, the strategies have been shown to increase productivity as well as employee engagement.
In addition to inclusive leadership consulting, she primarily works with NiSource’Employee Resource Groups and Inclusion & Diversity Councils in an effort to strike the right balance of cultural and diversity awareness with business connectivity to assist the groups in being stronger partners to the business. Prior to accepting the Sr. I&D Business Partner role, she has held numerous positions over her 21 year career with NiSource, Inc. She has worked in such departments as Pipeline Safety, New Business, Human Resources and Customer Service.
She has held various officer and board positions within the Columbus, OH Chapter of AABE; most recently serving as the Chapter President. She’s also been on the Board of Project Lead the Way, a Central Ohio organization that assist under-represented young men and women obtain summer internships at local companies within the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.She has also been a mentor in the United Way, Women in Leadership Council’s E3 Program.
Angela is a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington WV where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation. She is currently a student pursuing her graduate degree in Business Psychology at Franklin University.
